I bought this ac only because of it's brand. But this ac didn't stand upon it's branding. But I really appreciate Flipkart for returning my product even after 1 month of the purchase.
Efficient with a great air throw. Cools almost like a 1.5 ton and size is also of 1.5 ton ( compares with earlier Hitachi models). Great value for money compared with the rest of the pack.nnCons - The air throw does increase the db levels and flipcart service franchise sucks
I picked this product because it seemed to be very good value: good brand and a 5-star rating at a very reasonable price. The AC was delivered on time but the installation was not so smooth. After calling to say they would be reaching in the evening, the two guys who were supposed to install the AC never called for directions and landed up at some different place. Several calls later, they finally reached my place at 8pm. Removing the glass window and some parts of the wooden panel to fit the AC, they informed me, will involve additional charges and that the total installation cost would be Rs 1500. I agreed to that. nnMidway through, he asked me for a 10-amp plug for the AC. I didn't understand what he was talking about. Then he explained. this expensive electrical appliance from one of the leading global manufacturers, doesn't come with it's own electrical plug. Instead, they expect the customer to supply that. Of course, for Rs 100, he got one from a nearby electrical store and fitted it. Problem solved but it seemed totally strange to me that (a) the AC itself didn't come fitted with a plug and (b) an installer would show up at the customer's place without a plug and would go looking for one at some local store.nnLastly, the technician who fitted it was not trained to do a demo. He informed me that someone else would come and walk me through the features of the AC. It's now been a week, and nobody has shown up for this demo. The Service Center did call to verify that the installation had taken place, but the person at the other end was only interested in knowing what amount the technician had charged. So overall, the entire experience was quite shoddy and incomplete. You have a great product, but your service sucks, Hitachi. Hope you fix that.
I went for a Hitachi AC as I was told of its superior performances (even though people had warned me about poor customer service) ; however I realized in bitter way that customer service matters even more. nEarlier Hitachi ACs used to have Japanese compressor (mitshubushi) but now they have replaced (as a dealer told me) with compresors found in otherbrands like Voltas etc.nThey kind have made India dumping ground for there not so good products.nI had bought 1.5 T AC which started to malfunction within weeks of its purchase and even 2 months after reporting the problem they can't solve it.nAnd mind it they have worst customer care service for sure...nI would suggest go for Voltas...
Worst customer service. You just are on their mercy. They have outsourced their customer service which makes it more worse. They have only one emailed and no phone number where you can contact Hitachi. I will not recommend this product to anyone. The technicians visited my place 7 times in 2 months and could not solve my problem of no cooling in my room which is a 120 sq ft room and said that there is some problem with the room and not the ac.
