I had purchased a laptop (HP Pavilion 15-E015TX Laptop (3rd Gen Ci5/ 4GB/ 1TB/ Win8/ 1GB Graph) from flipkart. Before buying I had called flipkart for guidance and offer confirmation. The executive told me that I would get the laptop with freebies (HP Backpack Additional 2 Years Onsite Warranty + Additional 1 Year Norton Internet Security + HP Wireless Mouse + HP Headset.) at Rs 43080/-. But when the laptop was delivered to me I got only Backpack along with the laptop. When I enquired about the remaining Freebies, Flipkart told me that I would have to pay Rs 2000 more to get the remaining freebies. When I complained to them that, I was assured by flipkart executive that I will get all the freebies mentioned above and hence I went for this product. I also told them that they can listen to the recording of the call which was made by me before buying the product. But the cheater Flipkart management is saying that their executive never gave any such assurance. I also asked them to make me listen to those recordings, but they are not ready to do so because they know that their cheating tactics of selling the products by making false promise will get exposed. I request everyone NOT TO BUY ANY PRODUCT FROM FLIPKART. I am really dejected and betrayed by pathetic service of Flipkart.
The space bar is bad. X2 family is facing touchpad problems in windows 8.1 with no acknowledgement and fix coming from HP. This may not seem like a big issue but it is, the touchpad and the touchscreen would just stop working. Only solution is to stick with windows 8 which is again a problem as many apps require windows 8.1. All else is good, linux support unsatisfactory. I am stuck with this purchase, you don't have to.
I purchased it from outside. But really surprised to see the bad reviews here. Let me clarify an issue mentioned in other review. Of-course there are issues with touch after 8.1 update but its easy to fix it. its common issue with all windows 8 tablets after the update. Google it please. You are not alone. Only recommendation is don't install the WiFi driver update from HP for win 8.1. stick with win 8 driver for wifi. I had faced issue in waking it from sleep mode too. Again just google. Let me explain why I choose this tablet. (i prefer calling it tablet than laptop!) Purpose was just browsing and watching movies. games too. Since priority was not games, a windows tablet is a better choice than andriod tablets (yeah, No apple products in my shortlist). I felt browsing experience is better in touch based windows tablets when we want to play with more number of tabs in the browser. (i had already spend good amount of time in galaxy tabs and nexus while hunting down this one). And regarding watching movies, I never liked any tablet cases with a folding stand. its always so simple and easy with good old laptops. Think about travelling in train with a folding case stand. So it wasnt hard for me to decide its a windows hybrid touch device. Now here we have multiple options. first of all the processor. in windows hybrid devices, one can choose between old Intel atom (processors with names in Z2*** series), new baytrail atoms (Atom Z3*** series and the Pentium N3*** series.) and intel core series. Core products are costly and Z2*** series atom products are crap. This brings down the option to Baytrail Atom based Asus T100 and HP pavilion 11. Yes its a Pentium series processor in the HP model but its a rebranded Baytrail Atom chip only. (lenovo and dell has products which was not there in Indian market when i purchased. even HP 610 is a good option. there are good number of windows hybrids in the market.) So far it was easy for me. But choosing between them was difficult. Both hybrids share the same features. listing the differentiating factors here. Pros of T100: Light weight. additional 2 hours battery life (11hrs) 10 inch. its the resolution that matters. not screen size for browsing usb ports are in the detachable tablet part. Pros of HP 11 64 bit device with 4GB RAM(more tabs in browser, more RAM we need. So Simple) 64gb inbuilt ssd Finally it was the 64bit device with 4GB RAM won over light weight device. There are many other good hybrid devices in the market now. and sure this segment will catch up. microsoft has to do a bit more to make it as touch friendly as andriod. let me conclude with some cons of this device too. 1. the usb port are in the base. not in the display part. 2. weight 3. No accessories available in indian market 4. And if you plan to take some notes, then the bad news is that this one doesnt have digitizer. you might want to consider HP 900 or 600 or lenovo thinkpad series And its funny that Flipkart put asus t100 in tablet segment and hp pavilion 11 in laptop segment. please correct this.
Really worth buying.working superbly and whatsoever I have no complaint at all.Both external and internal are wonderful.Definely this product is neighbors envy and owner's pride.
This tablet starts showing touch and sleep issues once you update it to windows 8.1. The touch screen won't work at all. And another issue is when you put the device into sleep, It just won't wake up from sleep instantly. It restarts after 2 - 3 minutes. Confirm that this issues are solved by HP before buying into this.
