Excellent Product Under 40k

I have been using this for 2 weeks. nnMy observations & Suggestionsnn1) Excellent Performance. AMD is beyond expectations. Exceeded Intel i5 Performance I guess. That too it is quad core Processor.n2) Fast bootup. With in 3-4 secondsn3) 3.5 hours Battery backup. 5 hours when WIFI is OFF. n4) Good utilities by HP.n5) Win 8 working great. Good hardware & Software combination.n6) Generating very low heat even working for 10 hours continuously.n7) Nice design & slim laptopn8) Sound quality is Good.n9) 8 GB of RAM is more than enough. Even I run many big applications at the same time, it is just using 3GB of RAM.n10) Quality of HD cam is OK.n11) 1TB is is more than enough.nn- Take the entire backup of win 8 using HP Recovery Media to DVD. This is the first step you have to do. If you divide drive into partitions, it'll won't work. So be care full.n- Activate your OS & Product from their websites.nnI didn't find any cons yet. Best laptop for Officials, Gamers, Students.nnGo ahead. I think It is the best product among all the laptops in 40k range.

Awesome Gaming Laptop at 42K

I bought this laptop in a know shop and no from Flipkart.nI have been using this laptop for nearly a month. I have been soo amazed by its performance i wanted to give it a review.nnDisplay:nnThe display is 1366*768 resolution and is 15.6 in diagonal, it is a backlit LED Display, so the display shows the details of a picture or a video clearly and even the texts are pretty clear.nnAPU-CPU+GPU:nnCPU:nnAs the title explains, this particular model contains an AMD APU A10 5750M,nTill now this particular version of APU is the fastest till now for laptop, check the benchmarks for more information.nEven though it is AMD's most powerful APU for mobile devices aka laptops, it lags behind Intel. For basic processing its slutter free but when it comes into CPU intensive tasks like nVideo Convesion etc is take far longer than intel, for eg, an Intel i5 3230M can convert an video in 10 seconds, the AMD APU will take 1 Minuit and 20 seconds, since this laptop is mainly for Gaming the processing power will be enough.nnGPU:nNow the GPU is the super star in this laptop, it uses two graphic cards, one integrated and another one dedicated.nNow both the GPU's combine and work for better gaming performance, and it is called as Cross firing.nMost of the people when buying Graphics Cards they only see the Memory of the Graphics card thinking only that is responsible for gaming performance, the answer is a big no.nThe Memory of the graphic cards only comes into play when the resolution is huge, for example, when you play games in higher resolution such as bigger than Full HD or 1080p nthen only that Memory capacity will be fully used.nThere are other functions of a gpu is the Memory Speed, Memory Bandwidth and Shader Speed.nWhen we take the resolution of this current laptop which is 1366*768, an 1GB Graphic Memory is more than enough since the resolution is quite low.nThe big plus point in this APU is that the cross fire enables the gaming performance to be soo much better, now going on to the Gaming Performance.nnGaming Performance:nFPS means Frames Per Second and the minimum FPS required to have a slutter free experience is 30 FPS.n nHitman Absolution: At High Graphics Setting, it gives a good 35-45 FPSnnDMC5- High being the Maximum, it gives a constant 50+ FPS nnLa Noir- At the highest Graphics level, 40-50 FPSnnCOD Black Ops- At Highest Graphics Level, 55-70 FPS.nnNFS Most Wanted 2012- At Medium Level graphics, 35-45 FPSnnDishonored- At highest Graphics level, 45-60 FPSnnBattlefield 3-At Low- 35-45 FPS and at Medium - 25-35 FPSnnNotice how the performance of this machine is above the Nvidia's GT650M Graphics Card? Its because of the cross fire technology.nThis machines GPU is so much under rated in many online benchmarks because they do not check the real life performance of the card and only to give it maximum load of non real life stuff.nFor most hardcore gamer's, they expect at least 80+ FPS for an awesome gaming experience but for me this is more than enough.nnSpeakers:nIt has Stereo DTS which are loud enough to watch movies and play games.nnKeyboard:nPretty good for a budget laptop but the main disadvantage in the keyboard is the very small arrow keys, other than that is pretty good. nnTouch Pad:nThe touch pad in laptop is very poor, its not sensitive and if double clicked it accounts as single click, it better suited to use a wireless mouse.nBut the touchpad contains features like Multitouch, to zoom pictures or web pages you can pinch to zoom using the touch pad itself.nnWeb Cam:nNever used it more than once, but the quality is mediocre.nnConclusion: nThis laptop is mainly for build for Gaming and it does so, the boot time it takes no longer than 15 seconds.nIf you want a gaming laptop and your budget is 40k you cannot find an better laptop than this.n Never believe online benchmarks because they dont test the real life performance of the graphic cards, for example they said, this particular graphic card series cannot even runnHitman Absolution in Low graphics setting but in real life, i can play the same game at high setting with 35-45 FPS.nAnd sorry for the long review, i just wanted to add all the information.

Best one under 50 K

I always like HP products for their service.I bought this lappy 3 months back. Its a superb one with great features.nnOS- Upgraded to windows 8.1.Its a bit complicated to install linux on this system.Sometimes updating windows results in a GRUB error too !!! I must have gone with a DOS version, but it was not available. This is an issue with all windows OEM installed laptops. Also in wind 8 Hardisk usage stays at 100% most of the time. Many have reported the same on windows 8 machines.Windows 8.1 update has solved it .nnA10 Richland - Very efficient runs cool , has the best integrated GPU out there on the market.Supports lots of new instruction set which makes it future ready , still TDP could have been better.Comparable with i7 for gaming and i5 with normal day to day usage and i3 with certain applications like winrar , they are better suited for intel i guess.7-zip does a pretty good job though.Windows benchmark score on par with i5.When it comes to AMD benchmarking scores doesnt show the full story.Experience proved it.nThis processor also supports AMD face Login and Gesture recognition. Some Gestures are picked up with great accuracy and AMD face login does a great job.If you use Internet Explorer,Face login can be used to login to gmail facebook etc.I dont use IE , I use it only for installing firefox.nnGraphics - GCN based one.8670 runs a lot cooler which will hopefully increase the life of the whole system.nn8GB Ram - You will never run out of Ram soon, even if one use softwares like Adobe After effects. Its a single ram hence one can install another 8GB later thereby making it a total of 16 GB.Future proof!nnHardisk - Toshiba MQO1ABD100 , it n't the fastest but does its job.Good seek times but the write speed is poor , avg 80 MBps.nnGaming - Many others have shared their experience in the forum.Just look at other reviews.I havent yet calculated the fps in different games. So far I have played farcry 3 , Just cause 2 , splinter cell convolution , batman arkham , Hitman absolution , Maxpayne 3 at high setting (1366*768 res) without any issues.nKeypad - Loving it.Good spacing and tactile feedback.nnTouchpad - Multitouch synaptics pad.Largest pad once can find in a laptop. There seems to be some driver issues , occasionally multitouch stops working.nnUSB 3.0 - A must have for laptops especially with people having Portable HDD's.nnBattery Backup - Gaming - 2-2.5 Hours , Browsing - 4 hours Max , wifi off and lowest brightness - 5 -5.5 hours.Great figures.nnnBuild quality - Average.Carrying it in the bag will causes scratches on screen due to the rattling of lid.I advice everyone to use a screen protector for screen and it bezel.nnLooks - Way better than HP G series. Not on par wit some models offered by dell.nnAccesories - Bought a logitech wireless mouse last month.HP speakers and laptop bag were given as a free gift with the lappy.Speakers are loud enough with allowable distortions but the laptop bag is of very poor quality. Will be replacing it as everything inside has torn.nnCons:n Be ready to invest in 6 DVD's for backing up recovery.nSound quality is very poor in comparison with HP envy series.Hp could have done better.nBuild quality ,in reality, is not that good.Scratch prone screen bezel and silver painted body.nCamera quality is poor but better that many other laptops out there. Its 2013 and Laptop manufacturers are still stuck at 2008 in terms of camera performance.nBacklit Keyboard, maybe its a little too much to ask.nnFor students like me , its the best one.For geeks, lots of features to show off.I would only go with an ultrabook if i were willing to spend a lot in the future.Their batteries are mostly non removable.Replacing them is very very costly.Their harddisks have higher failure rates and they too cost a lot.500 GB(750GB in Asus) is the largest storage capacity one gets in an ultrabook. The only benefit would be battery life, But I don't mind carrying a spare which costs 3000 Rs ,just in case.Above all Ultrabooks are not desktop replacements but Notebooks are.

Worst Piece of laptop

I bought this laptop in September 2013 but since first day I am facing numerous problems.nI am listing those all I faced till datenn1. There was problem with heat sink since the first day when I bought it. Due to which temp. raises upto 120 degree and I think this almost killed my laptop. (I get heat sink replaced..problem solved..but still it was a bad experience and I never thought I will face something like that)n2. Again then after some 15 days or so it was blowing burning smell out of vents.... I mean wtf .. am I supposed to carry bad stinking thing with me all the time. (technician was called and he opened it and cleaned or did something I don't know what.. Now it smells less.n3. After fews days again (January Now) it starts freezing totally .. It doesn't hang or slow but totally freezes. I always have to turn it off using power button and then restart it.nnI still have 3rd problem none of the hp technician knows what to do with this problem. I have complained thousands of times but still the issue is pending and now time is 26 Mar 2014 and problem is from January.nnReally HP sucks.
