great specs but laptop is very very noisy!!! the fan runs makes noise equal to a water motor running on a well!!! ni7 4700mq is superb.. battlefield 4, farcry 3,assasins creed black flag, rivals all running smooth at ultra settings. nthe lid is plastic and not aluminium.ntouchpad is great with gestures but sometimes hangs. this is probably a driver problem as my mouse can move the cursor even if touchpad is stuck.nnot that lightweight as it seems.noverall a great laptop for doing graphic intensive work like photoshop,, video rendering at a medium level... nthe noise coming from the fan is really an issue and heating up of laptop.. nprocessor reaches 92 degrees when playing games and maximum is 100 for this haswel processor.nif you want style and power horse with ignoring the lifetime of the laptop.. go for it... gamers beware... get a good cooling pad like coolermaster or something having multiple fans.. nvery severe heating and fan noise problem!!!
This is definitely a laptop in the higher price range. The looks and specs do justify the price tag. It is slim, extremely good looking and is fast. Have used it for a week now and already loaded a lot of stuff. I was initially thinking of going for the 4 GB graphic card (750M) variant. However, did not want to spend close to 10k more just for that. Also bought extended warranty, so I am worry free for 3 years. Overall, if you are looking for a powerful, good looking laptop, you are on the right page. This is no alienware, nor is it a compact laptop. It is what it promises to be.nnEDIT: I do not know why people say they have an issue with games. I just ran Batman Arkham Origins and Assassins Creed 4 at maxed out settings and the laptop just sails through. It does get heated up slightly, but that is to be expected.
I bought this laptop in exchange of my old laptop. This laptop have been kept a bit pricey on flipkart as outside one can get it at around 71K. But the exchange discount was something that made me buy it from flipkart. Delivery was fast and packing was good. Got a bag too.nnAbout the laptop, I love every bit of it. Great performance. Still trying to cope with Windows 8 after coming from windows 7 but its just a habitual problem. Otherwise Windows 8 runs all the softwares, games that I have used on it so far.nnOverall experience was great.
i puchased this laptop a week back from a hp showroom so here goes my reviewnfirst of all looks amazingnsuperb performance and the backlit keyboard is awesomenbeats audio does make a differencenbattery is also high and you can go about 4 hours on this without worrying about the chargen8 gb RAM and @2GB NVIDIA graphics + hp coolsense which really makes a difference i coolingnbest part is the onsite warranty where the technician will come to your house in case of a repair.... ver much appreciablennow on the negative sidenlaptop is not sturdy. weak LED panel nthe frame on the screen is an issue although you wont bother about it . it sometimes makes a creaking soundnthe usb ports are very close to each othernoverall i would suggest that buying an i5 model would be better as an i7 wold be a waste if youre not a gamer or a high end designer or programmer also when you purchase it keep in mind that it is fragile and handle it with care..... lastly.. the laptop has some minor imperfections to it.. like a little but negligible creaking sound while closing the lid... weak panel...(dosent affect the screen in any way) ,, but overall you wouldnt bother about it and as usual the accidental damage warranty is also available in case anything happensnno dvd writer... although you wouldnt need it anywaysnvery fragile...
Excellent service from flipkart in terms of delivery commitment and packaging.n1) The laptop is very sleek,eye-catching and light weight. Though it has tapered lower black base which bulges towards the back and it is cleverly hidden in the photographed laptop so the laptop appears to be much slimmer. n2) Performance is good. Backup with normal usage about 2.5-3 hrs.n3) One noteworthy thing about the laptop is that it uses Quad Core i7 processor (4700MQ) which has 6MB (L3) unlike dual core i7 4500U (ultra low voltage, 4MB L3) in dell inspiron 15r. The drawback being it uses much more power (hence lower battery backup).Graphics card is of average performance.n4) Sound quality is crystal clear but not so loud as was in XPS series.n5) The adapter being 120W is annoyingly large but justified due to wattage.n6) Keyboard appears to be not so solid build. Excellently back light even-though.n7) Heat generated is proportional to the kind of usagenOverall decent product.
