Not suggested HP Product to any other

Hello Everyone, nI am using this product from last 6 month. and this review based on my personal last 6 month used.nnWi-fi = replaced within 1 months..nTouch pad = Very bad and replaced within 2 months because when i move cursor its lagging and also when i do left click ata that time right click trigger.nnProcessor is very slow and to much laging when i play game, multitasking work . processsor is very very slow and many times do software troubleshooting, after Update Windows 8 to 8.1 shutdown and sleep problems start.nnHP Service is also very bad compare to Dell. HP Service engineer unexperienced they dont know how to open laptop. Service engineer open laptop like normal toy, they broken my keyboard and make scratch on laptop.nnSo i am friendly say all of you please do not buy HP Products, they never take responsiblity and accept their product faults and also they dont belived on thier products.

Highly disappointing NOT UPGRADABLE TO WINDOWS 8.1

I had purchased this product in nov 2013, it was working perfectly in the beginning.nBut when i had upgraded my windows to 8.1 in september 2014, i had suffered the following issues:n1. Wifi was unable to connect most of the times. (i had to restart it many times for wifi connectivity)n2. whenever my laptop goes to sleep, it just restarts (and all my current processes are lost) nbut due to exams i could not contact them for a month.nI contacted the customer care(october end),so they suggested me to format the laptop and then upgrade it.nI did that, but again same issue. Moreover my windows just crashed, on which I again contacted customer care, then they sent an engineer at my place, engineer was very cooperative and skilled, so he some how saved all my data.nBt still my laptop was not upgraded.nSo I again downloaded windows 8.1, and again the same issue is there.nI have downloaded and installed all the drivers also, all the updates and all.nBt NO HOPES NOW.n3 times formatted......3 times downloading 3.5GB of windows 8.1 was itself such a time consuming and troublesome job.nand the engineer has stopped picking up the calls....as my projects have been badly affected so now i am going to the consumer court for all this rubish non sense HP is being doing for the last 2-3 months

So far so good

Here are the pros and cons as per me; Pros: 1. Good outside texture in silver with white dots, hp written in mirror finish is good to look at, gives premium look. 2. Quite sleek to look at. Even at 2.28 kgs it is not too heavy, but not very light. 3. The build quality looks good. 4. The keyboard looks good and even the keypress are so light, but feels delicate at times. 5. Battery backup is pretty good.. gives around 4-5 hrs with light usage like browsing, videos etc. 6. Layout of all the required ports is very good.. nothing on the back, everything is layed on the sides only. Cons: 1. Missing a VGA port there. 2. Windows 8, quite a hassel, but it is not HP's fault. I was using Win 7 previously which is quite good. Win 8 is quick boot and shutdown though. 3. Windows performance index of 4.6 only?? It can go all the way up to 9, while this has a good processer and a graphics driver but lagging in graphics... why?? 4. Hard Disk Space is so good 1 TB, but only 5400 rpm. What about upgrading to SSD... if you can :) 5. The track pad key presses are hard to press. 6. Screen quality is not very good. I didn't like the blacks.. loved looking at amoled displays on the phones now a days. Though it has good brightness levels.

Good looks

Pros: Good looking and attractive. The build quality is also nice. Keys on keyboard are soft to type. Screen is bright and crisp clear. Does not heat even when multitasking. Sound is good, though not the best. Cons: Keyboard might take a few days to get used. Stick to the default Windows 8 that comes with the laptop. Upgrading to windows 8.1 started giving problems. WiFi looses connection and PC reboots when waking from sleep so can never put the pc to sleep, However when I reverted back to Windows 8, faced no problems at all. The PC does not give a feel of I5 4th Gen processor. My old HP 3rd Gen I5 gives much better performance. Overall the PC will impress you with the looks and build. Is suitable for home users. Got a backpack with the laptop which is very nice. Service from flipkart is outstanding as usual. Got it delivered within a day. Hopefully the issues with Windows 8,1 gets resolved with the future updates and this will be the best laptop.

Not worth the Price Tag

I bought it from a local store on 15th March 2014, got a replacement on 4th April (issue faced was regarding touchpad). Since I didn't know it was an issue of Synaptics Touchpad and Windows 8/8.1 together, I was concerned and reported quite frequently about the same. The Engineers couldn't figure out the problem at first but after guiding them through, they agreed. nnAbout the touchpad lag, it usually happens while copying huge amounts of data. nnMulti-tasking, not up to the mark as per the specifications. nDesign- The laptop doesn't seem to be built with what we call, premium parts. The plastic finishing may feast your eye while you are in the store but as time passes. it gets dull. The bezels around the screen got scratches and lines around the trackpad were observed within a month. nnDisplay- 1366x768. Again, not the best for 45k bucks. nnBattery- The Intel Haswell line-up is known for energy efficiency, this laptop can easily last for about 5 hours on normal usage like web-browsing on medium screen brightness (The Battery capacity is 2800mAh) nSound - Pretty good. nThe OS is loaded with awful lot of bloatware. After updating to windows 8.1, you tend to face issue with Display Drivers. nGaming- I'm not much of a gamer but I've tried NFS Rivals and it can't be handled as per the specification of this laptop. On the other hand, Call of Duty Ghosts seems to work fine. nMy opinion: This laptop could serve the purpose of daily moderate usage, not for designers as per my experience. nnLast but not the least, I got it sold last month and now using an Apple MacBook Pro MD101.
