I ordered this laptop on last Saturday at flipkart and it was delivered to me on Tuesday (I thought Flipkart was awesome at that time but I was wrong). I was very happy with the laptop when I first saw it and used it. Laptop is very sleek, light weight ,fast, and look wise very good but then I opened AMD catalyst graphics s/w to see the actual graphics capability and details but saw only 512 MB dedicated DDR3 memory and the AMD GPU chipset was also different.Flipkart is showing GPU chipset 8670M HD but my laptop has chipset 8330 HD with only 512 MB dedicated memory and believe me, performance would be too low if you use 512 MB 8330E rather than 1GB 8670M (You can compare both of them at gpuboss.com yourself) .I called up their customer care many times to replace the item but haven't got any support or help yet.I am very much disappointed with the flipkart service as this was my first buy at flipkart.If it's seller's fault then flipkart should have checked the item before delivering it to me.
Flipkart : Before purchasing this laptop, I did a little research and read all the reviews. Some buyers stated that it has only 512MB HD 8330 Graphics Card instead of the one described on the site i.e. a 1GB AMD Radeon HD 8670M. For clarification I called flipkart twice and they assured me that the product will be as per the description and if not then it would be replaced. I ordered with ' in a day delivery' service and got the laptop after 34 hours after placing the order. Got the bag and laptop very safely packed in a carton ! :) Laptop: The laptop is really smart looking ! sleek, looks durable and sturdy. The flap is shining silver and the rest is shining black with dot imprints. It came with preloaded Ubuntu, it took almost 5-6 hours for its first installation. You can check the laptop's graphic card's specification via. AMD catalyst software, which will show 8330, 512 MB Graphic card only. Rest specifications can be seen by Device manager or so... I installed Windows 8.1 on this system by deleting the existing partitions on the hard disk (thats the only way i could do that, once it is deleted you can remake the partitions during the installation process itself ). The drivers for this laptop for Win 8.1 is available on the HP site. You can search for it and you'll get all the required drivers. After the installation of drivers, you can see both the graphic cards i.e HD 8330 and AMD 8670M !!! :) :) Pros : -Value for money with excellent laptop configuration.Perfect for those who need it for multimedia purpose like HD movies, music, some decent games etc. -Excellent looks -Sleek and sturdy -Battery life is okay....around 3 hours -dts speakers are really good. I own Lenovo Ideapad Z580 with dolby digital speakers. They are excellent. If I rate the dolby ones 8.5/10 then dts would be 7.5. Its loud and clear. -Charger, bag are good too. Cons: - The shining surface acts as fingerprint magnet. Do clean it often ! :P -Touch pad is not as good as that of my ideapad Z580 ( but it costed 42k about a year ago :P ) So its okay in this range. Its an excellent purchase, although I couldn't get the ADP certificate yet. Registered the product 10 days ago but there is no reply from HP. I will look into this matter. In short, if you need a laptop with good looks, good performance, good build, huge storage capacity and with a nice audio in an affordable range, GO FOR IT !
I had ordered my Pavilion under the New Year exchange offer. As usual, the product was delivered right on time. Those, who are providing different comments regarding the configuration of the product not similar to that posted on the website, authenticity and etc. ----- > are probably new/ novice regrading dealing with such a MASTERPIECE HP Pavilion 15 n-020ax ( myself included .. :P ). Because, initially I myself had such doubts. The problem is that, in case someone is happy with the pre-loaded Ubuntu version then, there is no issues. But, if you want to load WINDOWS 7 on this DREAM MACHINE --- you will surely find it quite impossible. After trying for several days, finally I have settled down for WINDOWS 8. It's working fine. There is also NO PROBLEM regarding the GRAPHICS PROCESSOR " 1 GB - AMD Radeon HD 8670M ". It's there, you can be sure about that. But to locate it; first you need to INSTALL the right OS ( preferably WINDOWS 8 ) and the right Graphics Driver from HP website. Finally, I would also like to inform all those prospective and faithful buyers that, under the HP's New Year Redemption Offer ( which was also authentic ) ; I have received all the following; by simply submitting few documents and slightly extra charges ( bcoz as you know nothing comes for FREE now a days; if you want it to be authentic ) ------ 1) " A Branded HP Back-Pack " 2) " A Branded HP Head-Set " 3) " A Branded HP cord-less Optical Mice " 4) " 1 year Norton Internet Security " 5) " and 3 years extended on-site warranty " .... :) :) :) The only part where I was a little bit disappointed, was regarding the PACKING of the product . It could have been better. Although, luckily the product was not damaged during the transit. But PACKING of such fragile and costly items can be improved upon. At last, thank you Flip-Kart !!
Gorgeous Looks ... Slim ... Awesome Configuration ... Comes with Preloaded Ubuntu but you can format whole lappy and install whatever OS you want. You will find difficulty initially in installing drivers for Windows. First step after installing windows 7 download and install AMD Chipset Driver and then install as per need. Laptop is Dream Configured ... ... I have pretty good experience with all kinds of laptop and all OS. So, Believe me when I say I am Fully satisfied with the product at this price range and this configuration.
Laptop configuration of the graphic card is not as in description. It has 8330(512MB) graphic card instead of 8670M(1GB).
