This is my first HP laptop and I think HP Does not care about their customers, I register this product on HP and even their email system is not working and most of drivers for Windows 7 is not working or giving a error. _______ Update: I find a Wifi and Bluetooth driver on Mediatek Website for Windows 7, This laptop use Ralink Products so you can download Bluetooth driver from MediaTek website >> drivers >> Search "RT3290" (without quota, this is for Wifi) and also you can download Bluetooth driver from this website. It seems some drivers for linux is also available ;) -- I use external HDMI Monitor, but laptop become unresponsive when I leave this for 10 to 20 minute and screen goes blank, last option I use to forcely stop this laptop and then start again. keyboard/mouse does not help at all. + Hard Disk: Support 6/Gbps ;), Form factor is 2.5 so If you want then you can upgrade your HDD to SSD. Your graphic card size will show 3GB when driver was not installed but after installing graphic card driver it will show 2GB ;) +1 Don't forget to register your product on HP Website and check your warranty status or download HP Help assistant software and then you can check your product warranty. I purchase this Laptop because of Discreet NVIDIA graphic card, i3 4th gen cpu, 4gb ram, 3mb cache size, 1.7Ghz clock speed, Wifi, HDMI Port(Dell think Indians don't need HDMI port) and HD Audio. Next time I will purchase Asus Laptop to save my time from finding drivers on google and intel website. Driver Issue: Driver CD is not included so you need to download driver software from HP Website and Size of all drivers is 1GB. 1. No driver for Linux Users. HP want to force you to use Windows. 2. HP Does not provide a a driver for bluetooth and 1x PCI driver for Windows 7 OS. 3. "Synaptics TouchPad" Driver is not working and show a error on startup. Note: Bluetooth, etc driver is available for Windows 8 OS. Audio Driver, Intel chipset driver is working but I don't know why HP provide a corrupted/bad or wrong driver for Graphic card and touch-pad. When I download and install a "Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver" from HP Website then its show a error so after googling I find that this laptop is using a Integrated Intel HD 4400 Graphic card so I download "Intel HD 4400 Driver" from Intel website(search in google) and then I installed a NVIDIA Driver(You can't directly install NVIDIA Driver, First you need to install a driver for integrated graphic card then you can install driver for discreet(dedicated) graphic card) Battery: If you read reviews you will think battery backup time is 4 to 5 hours but battery backup time is not more then 2 or 2.5 hours. Flipkart Shipping: Shipping is fast but delivery man waste my time, 3 times check every Rs.500 note. Unprofessional Flipkart delivery man: This is my main reason to avoid purchasing product under rs. 10000 from flipkart to avoid this type of hassel. -1 for driver issues. I was purchasing a dell laptop but price difference was 10k and most of their laptop does not comes with HDMI Cable so I decided to not waste my money in just a name of brand and purchase this laptop. This is really superb laptop. Nice graphics and audio and also battery backup time is not bad(You can save battery backup time by changing screen brightness)
I been using this laptop for a month and for the price i paid (24.5 K) ie after 2.5k offer and 10% cash back by SBI, this laptop is EPIC..! I have seen a few 1 star reviews for this product, mainly cos of the display turning black during the bootup. Yup i too faced this issue.! The problem occurs when you install, the latest NVIDIA driver ie version 340 and the latest INTEL HD Graphics (Device Manager-> Update Display Adapters). Both of them are not completely compatible and would occasionally result in display going blank (ie laptop going to sleep mode ) during Startup. The fix for this would be to install the NVIDIA and Intel HD graphics drivers from the HP support site. Please Note : I am running windows 8.1 64 bit. Now regarding the performance. Boot up time - Less than 5 seconds and it shuts down almost in 2-3 seconds. Display and Sound - Very much decent for such an entry level laptop Gaming Performance - Nvidia 820m ( the only reason i decided to buy this laptop over any other laptop under 30k) Except for a few latest games which require top notch gear, you can play almost all games released before 2013 at medium to high graphics and games released after 2013 at low to medium graphics. Which is damn impressive for a laptop under 25K Ram and Processor - 4th Gen I3 and 4 GB RAM, Impressive..! Trust me, for day to day use like editing documents, browsing, watching movies and playing songs, one cannot find a difference between i3 and i7 :) Design - Its made of plastic but looks metallic (Gun Metal). Looks really Premium. Build quality is decent and the hinges are tight. Its NOT a fingerprint magnet. Battery Backup - A little above 2 hours. The one thing that hasn't worked is Bluetooth, i contacted HP tech support and they informed me its a hardware defect since they were not able to fix it and when i send the job sheet to Flipkart, they added Rs 1000 to my Flipkart Wallet. But for me, that's a functionally I rarely use, so not a deal. End verdict - Every time i switch on my laptop and start using it, i end up saying "WOW'...! So go for it and make sure you install the right drivers. This is THE BEST..! - I am not from HP/Compaq marketing team :P
Used this laptop this is really a good laptop in this range but want to ask a question . Which operating system is best for this system because I have installed windows 8 of 64bit as this system is also of 64bit but this laptop sometimes do not show any screen when starts so I have to restart it several times then only it shows the screen. Can any one help with this?
I have used this laptop for a couple of weeks for now. Here is the review - Initially i am unable to install graphic drivers from HP site or NViDIA site. THen someone in the reviews mentioned a way to crack this. Solution for Graphic drivers problem :- Intel HD 4400 Graphic card so I download "Intel HD 4400 Driver" from Intel website(search in google) and then I installed a NVIDIA Driver(You can't directly install NVIDIA Driver, First you need to install a driver for integrated graphic card then you can install driver for discreet(dedicated) graphic card) Pros :- 1.Within budget 2, Good config 3. Dedicated graphic card 4. Stylish design Cons :- 1. Drivers frustrate you unless you follow reviews/googling problems 2. Weak key board. The keys are very delicate. I suggest to buy an external keyboard. 3. Charging pin is delicate. Often results in laptop not getting charged even though connected to a charger. Overall it is a decent buy and I recommend if laptop is for regular use without too much of gaming requirements.
Flipkart delivered damaged item. Start button is not working properly, wifi key is not working and sound quality is very very poor because the speakers are in laptop backside beside fan. They mentioned high configuration with low price but processing is not met that configuration. Continuously browsers are strucking while accessing any video in youtube.
