2022 Tata Nexon EV spotted

The updated Tata Nexon EV for the 2022 model year has been spotted testing ahead of its market debut. The new 2022 Tata Nexon EV will aim at bettering the current model, especially in mechanical aspects by achieving a longer range, higher top speed, and becoming a better overall package. The Tata Nexon EV 2022 that was spotted testing recently shows off rear disc brakes that are an upgrade over the current drum brakes at the rear (source: TeamBHP).

This upgrade could be credited to Tata’s aim to make safer vehicles where braking also plays an important role. With a speculated higher top speed and increased weight owing to the higher capacity battery pack, the 2022 Tata Nexon EV would be better off with stronger brakes and increased stopping power.

2022 Tata Nexon EV specifications (expected)

The 2022 Tata Nexon EV is expected to better the range on the current model with a higher capacity battery pack and other improvements. The Tata Nexon EV currently claims a 321km single-charge range in ideal conditions. Users have reported an average real-world range of 180-200km. This is achieved using the 30.2 kWh li-ion battery pack but is expected to get a bump in capacity and deploy a 40kWh unit instead. This will increase the range and better battery tech might bring in changes to the overall performance and efficiency of the vehicle.

The 2022 Tata Nexon will be devoid of heavy cosmetic changes however Tata might differentiate the upcoming model from the current one by introducing funkier colour options, more features, trim levels, slight changes to plastic parts such as bumpers and/or lighting design.
