Bajaj has launched a new top-end premium Chetak electric scooter in India. The new 2023 Bajaj Chetak comes with some cosmetic upgrades such as new paint schemes, a large LCD screen, new seats, and more. Simultaneously, the company has also reduced the price of its outgoing premium model, which now starts at Rs 1.21 lakh. Apart from this, Bajaj has also reworked the battery management system in the Chetak electric scooter, which has led to a 20 percent boost in its range that now stands at 108km ARAI-certified range.

2023 Bajaj Chetak electric scooter price in India

The Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is now being offered in a Premium and a Premium 2023 Edition trim level. The new Bajaj Chetak in its Premium 2023 Edition variant, is priced at Rs 1.51 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has reduced the price of the outgoing Premium variant which now commands a price of Rs 1.21 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new Premium 2023 Edition variant is being offered in three new paint options, Matte Coarse Grey, Matte Caribbean Blue and Satin Black. The existing Premium variant gets the older shade card that includes Brooklyn Black, Hazel Nut, Indigo Metallic and Velluto Rosso. The Bajaj Chetak can be purchased in over 60 cities across India. The company has plans to expand to over 100 dealerships in over 85 cities by the end of March 2023. Over 40 of these 100 dealerships are exclusive experience centres.

2023 Bajaj Chetak electric scooter specifications

The Premium 2023 Edition trim level in the Bajaj Chetak lineup has been upgraded with the inclusion of a two-tone seat, body-coloured rear view mirrors, a satin black grab rail and matching pillion footrest castings, and Charcoal Black finish to headlamp casing, blinkers and central trim elements. The premium electric scooter also gets a larger LCD display for displaying information. The company claims that the new display is sharper and easier to read. The changes are limited to cosmetic upgrades and battery or motor or other mechanical aspects have been altered in the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter.

The Bajaj Chetak electric scooter gets a 3.8kW motor powered by a 3kWh battery pack. This powertrain delivers 108km of ARAI-certified range. The electric scooter gets disc brakes, alloy wheels, LED lighting, telescopic front suspension, metal body panels, IP67 waterproofing and more.
