Nothing Phone (1) is easily the most hyped smartphone in recent times and every news, teaser and announcement coming out from the brand is working great to build up the anticipation for the launch. The Nothing Phone (1) is scheduled to debut on July 12th and it will be exclusively sold via Flipkart. The company has also announced that it will be manufacturing the phone in India, Tamil Nady precisely, in a move to keep the costs in check.

After teasing the phone for a long time, we’ve finally been treated with the design of the Nothing Phone (1). Nothing has officially revealed the rear panel design of the handset and we feel it’s worth every bit of the hype. Now, ahead of the launch, here are the six things we learned about the phone. Let’s get started.

Nothing Phone (1) design: here are the 6 things we learned

Transparent design: Nothing seems to have great importance for transparency. Nothing Ear (1) TWS earbuds have a unique transparent design that we have never seen on competing models. The company seems to be adopting the same design language for its upcoming Nothing Phone (1) as well. The phone appears to have a glass back panel.

The entire back panel is plain transparent, thereby showing off the entire internal design. The phone is completely white in colour on the back, except for the camera sensors. The volume rocker is on the right edge while the power buttons are on the left spine. The Nothing Phone (1) also seems to have concentric circles on the back.

Possible wireless charging support: The Nothing Phone (1) design has revealed the phone may come with wireless charging, as what appears to be a coil is visible from the transparent design. This is a neat new feature to have and should bring some value to the specs table.

Multiple textures on the rear panel: Nothing Phone (1) has a transparent design and this also shows off multiple textures, which adds so much depth and character to the phone. On close observation, it’s quite evident the phone seems to have a textured design but it’s hard to tell since it’s all white.

Possible LED lighting: Nothing Phone (1) might employ LED lighting thanks to the transparent design. There are chances the phone could have internal lighting, which should glow up the phone and make it look completely unique. We’re used to seeing RGB lighting on gaming phones but it’s usually a tiny cutout. Nothing Phone (1) could light up the entire back panel.

Flat metal frame: The Nothing Phone (1) will have a flat frame, similar to most latest iPhones. The phone could have a metal frame, which should give it a premium look and also add weight.

Dual rear cameras: Lastly, quite obviously we can also see the dual camera sensors on the back. This is a good thing considering we only get the large primary camera sensor and an ultra-wide-angle sensor and not any namesake macro or depth sensors that only increase the cost of the phone.
