Acer Chromebook Spin 13 refresh with 8th-gen Intel Core i7 processor launched

A new Acer Chromebook Spin 13 variant has just been launched. The brand’s latest Spin offering comes with a slightly more powerful processor – 8th Intel Core i7 processor. The new offering is a variant of the Chromebook Spin 13, which was unveiled in May this year. Just like its predecessor, the latest laptop from the brand offers slim bezels and a back-lit keyboard. The notebook is powered by a beefy 4,670mAh, which is rated to deliver up to a day of usage on a single charge. The new Acer Chromebook 13 is also fitted with integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 and 128GB of storage of unknown type – possibly SSD one.

The new Acer Chromebook Spin 13 has been priced at $1,568 (~ Rs 1,08,000). The notebook will be initially available in the US for the aforementioned price.

The Intel Core i7 processor on board the Acer Chromebook Spin 13 offers a clock speed of 1.80GHz. The notebook comes with Intel UHD Graphics 620. There’s a 13.5-inch display on board with a resolution of 2,256 x 1,504p, and the device runs the latest version of Chrome OS. The laptop comes with 16GB of DDR3 RAM and 512GB of solid state drive storage. A 45W battery keeps it running that is capable keeping the device alive for up to 12 hours.

In related news, the Acer recently expanded its range of Nitro series notebooks in India with the launch of the Acer Nitro 5. The specs and features of the Acer Nitro 5 will vary from market to market and there’s no word regarding their Indian availability at the moment.
