Acer launches ConceptD series laptops: specifications, pricing, and more

Acer has announced the new ConceptD laptop series, designed for creators. The lineup includes ConceptD 9, ConceptD 7, and ConceptD 5 laptops with ConceptD 9 being the high-end model. It sports a 17.3-inch 4K display with an Ezel Aero Hinge, built-in Wacom pen support, and a convertible screen.

The Acer ConceptD 9 starts at $4,999 (around Rs 3.5L) and will be available starting June. While the Acer ConceptD 7 and ConceptD 5 are priced at $2,299 (around Rs 1.6L) and $1,699 (around Rs 1.18L), respectively and will be available later this month.

The Acer ConceptD 9 is powered by the 9th generation Intel Core i9 processor with RTX 2080 GPU taking care of graphics and 3D Aeroblade fans for cooling. It packs with up to 16GB of RAM and comes in either 512GB or 1TB NVMe SSD storage. Ports on board include Thunderbolt 3, USB Type-C and DisplayPort 1.4. It sports a 17.3-inch 4K display with 3,840 x 2,160 pixels resolution. Up next, the ConceptD 7 laptop packs a 9th generation Intel Core i7 processor with either Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 for graphics, up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB SSD storage. However, it lacks Wacom pen support.

Lastly, ConceptD 5 also packs the same 15.6-inch 4K IPS display with 3,840 x 2,160 pixels resolution. It comes in two variants; one with 8th Gen Core i7 and another with 8th Gen Core i5 coupled with AMD Radeon RX Vega M GL. RAM onboard is limited to either 16GB or 8GB, with storage options including 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB SSDs. Thanks to the 4th generation 3D aero blade fans, Acer claims the fan noise will be less than 40 decibels.
