Adobe Releases Security Update for Flash Player for Android Devices

adobe-android-security Adobe has just released a new security update for the Adobe Flash Player for Android devices running Android 2.0 and above. Although, no fresh direct threat has been reported, Adobe has still released the security patch to improve the security of the device. The new Flash Player update is applicable only for Android smartphones and tablets running Android 2.0 and above. Adobe’s security advisory has indicated that a potential attacker or hacker may take advantage of an object confusion vulnerability in the Flash Player application, which could lead to crashing of the app.  Following the crash, the attacker gets the freedom to snatch control of the system and harm the device. If your Android smartphone or tablet device is running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, you must install the update to the Adobe Flash Player 11.1.115.8 from the version 11.1.115.7 on your devices. To install the update, go to the Google Play Store, and click on the My Apps option. You should find the Adobe Flash Player update listed there. If you own an Android smartphone running Android 2.0 or higher and/or an Android tablet running a Android 3.x update, you must update the Flash Player app from version 11.1.111.8 to version 11.1.111.9. If you do not want to install the update from your Android tablet or smartphone, you can go to the Google Play Store website from your PC or Mac and directly install the website on to your phone from there.
