OnePlus ventured into the truly wireless earbuds market with the OnePlus Buds back in July and these are priced around Rs 4,990 in India. However, the company might be working on a cheaper version of the Buds, called the OnePlus Buds Z. Noted tipster Max J, who is usually accurate with OnePlus leaks, has posted an image with a waveform and a cryptic ‘BudsZ’ text. While the launch date has not been revealed yet, we speculate the OnePlus Buds Z will tag along with the OnePlus 8T. The company has already started teasing the launch of the OnePlus 8T in India, and the rumoured launch date is October 14th.

OnePlus unveiled the Bullets Wireless Z as a cheaper version of Bullets Wireless earphones so by the same pattern, this could be the name of the so-called affordable OnePlus TWS earbuds. This makes sense and the branding is very much in line with the company’s current portfolio. Additionally, folks over at XDA-Developers recently spotted the branding in the OxygenOS 11 beta build. Will the OnePlus Buds Z debut alongside the OnePlus 8T flagship? only time can tell. We should have more information soon.
OnePlus Buds specifications
To recall, the OnePlus Buds feature, the TWS earbuds come with a 13.4mm dynamic driver for clear sound and bass and Environment Noise Cancellation (ENC). The TWS earbuds have a stem-design and are claimed to last up to 7 hours on a single charge. The carry case, which is puck-shaped, offers an additional 30 hours of usage. The earbuds are IPX4 water-resistant and have a Bluetooth range of 10 meters. They support fast-charging- OnePlus says 10-minute charging can deliver 10 hours of music playback.
