Additionally, Airtel has also introduced ‘iPhone Infinity’ data plans, where users will get 60GB of free 4G data for one year, which the company claims will save users Rs 15,000 on their monthly bills. Users can visit offers.airtel.in from their new iPhones to avail this offer. More information can be found on Airtel’s 4G website. The service provider also started taking pre-orders for the iPhones since October 9th.

To recap on the specs, the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus feature upgraded A9 processors which Apple claims is 70 percent faster than the previous A8 chipset. The new iPhones now feature a 12-megapixel iSight alongwith a 5MP FaceTime camera. Apart from an updated Touch ID 2.0 fingerprint scanner, the new smartphones also incorporate Apple’s new 3D touch technology, which enables the screen to respond to both touch and pressure. The screen size remains the same as last year though, with the iPhone 6s sporting a 4.7-inch display, and the iPhone 6s Plus packing in a 5.5-inch screen.

In India, the iPhone 6s has been priced at Rs 62,000, Rs 72,000 and Rs 82,000 for the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB variants respectively. The iPhone 6s Plus on the other hand, costs Rs 72,000, Rs 82,000 and Rs 92,000 respectively for the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB models. Incidentally, these are the most expensive iPhones to hit our shores yet, and are considerably more expensive than the price in the US.
