“The plan offers 1.4GB daily data, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS per day for a year”
Bharti Airtel has been selling smartphones through its online store for a while now. The telco offers a range of devices with some exciting EMI options and bundled recharge plans. However, the scheme was only available for Airtel’s postpaid users. Now, Bharti Airtel has announced that it’ll be offering the same benefits to prepaid users as well. Notably, as of now, only three smartphones — Nokia 7 Plus (review), Nokia 6.1 Plus (review) and OPPO F9 Pro (review), are available for Airtel’s prepaid subscribers to purchase.
According to the Airtel store, if a user chooses any of the above-mentioned smartphones, he/she will get an option to either go for postpaid connection or the prepaid. Those who go for the latter will get Airtel’s bundled recharge offer of 1.4GB daily data for the next year. The scheme also includes unlimited calling with no FUP to any network and free 100 SMSes for each day. The plan seems to be similar to Airtel’s Rs 199 offering that offers similar benefits for 28-days.
Moving on, the smartphone can be purchased from Airtel’s e-store by paying a small down payment and the rest can be covered up with EMI options for up to 12 months. The monthly installments will cover the remaining cost of the handset and the bundled Airtel plan. It’s worth mentioning that the sum of down payment and EMI paid for the smartphone will be slightly higher than what you’ll pay on Flipkart or Amazon. However, Airtel’s prepaid plan perks and flexibility of payment make it even.
