“Airtel’s Rs 558 recharge previously used to offer validity of 82 days for benefits such as 3GB data per day, 100 SMSes, and unlimited voice calls”
Airtel, which hiked the prices of its recharges along with Vodafone Idea and Jio earlier this month, has revised its Rs 558 prepaid recharge. The telco has reduced the validity of the recharge by 26 days. This means that the Rs 558 prepaid pack, which used to offer 3GB data per day, 100 SMSes a day, and unlimited voice calls for 82 days, will now be valid for just 56 days. In addition to the aforementioned benefits, the prepaid recharge bundles free four-week course at Shaw Academy that allows users to learn anything from photography to music, Wynk music subscription, Airtel Xstream App Premium subscription, and Rs 100 cashback on FASTag.
The revised Airtel Rs 558 pack is available in all circles, according to TelecomTalk, and can be recharged via Airtel Thanks app or the company’s website. In related news, Airtel recently rolled out the Wi-Fi calling service for its subscribers in India. This allows users to make calls via a Wi-Fi network across the country, just like regular phone calls.
The Wi-Fi calling service currently works with Airtel’s broadband and users can easily switch to VoLTE to voice over Wi-Fi inside their homes/ offices. It was initially announced for 24 smartphones, but the telco recently expanded it six more smartphones, including Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus, Galaxy S10e, Galaxy M20, OnePlus 6, and OnePlus 6T. The service is only available for Airtel users in Delhi-circle at the moment, but it is expected to be rolled out to all major cities soon.
