Following in the footsteps of Airtel, Vi aka Vodafone Idea India has also updated the tariffs for most of their popular prepaid plans. The price hike comes in the backdrop of a firm losing money in operating costs for the past few quarters. This new tariff hike of upwards of 20 percent should ‘start the process of ARPU (average revenue per user) improvement and help address the financial stress faced by the industry.’ To make things easier for you, we have compared all the popular prepaid plans from Airtel and Vi that have been updated this week.

When comparing plans from both the carriers, we found almost similar plans barring a few which were different in value while delivering similar benefits. The new prepaid plans from Vi will come into effect from November 25th onwards, while the new Airtel recharge plans will not be applicable until November 26th. Although all the popular plans from both the carriers have seen an increment, the plans that were left out from this announcement could see some increase soon.
