French handset maker, Alcatel launched an entire 18:9 smartphone portfolio with 5,3 and 1 series at the Mobile World Congress that was held in Barcelona earlier this year. At the event, the brand launched Alcatel 5, Alcatel 3, Alcatel 3X, Alcatel 3V, Alcatel 1X and Alcatel 1C. Now, the brand has launched the largest of the 3 series – Alcatel 3V in India. The smartphone flaunts the brand’s proprietary SIGMANIC design language, Face Key facial recognition and Social Mode for the camera as its highlight.
The newest launch from the brand comes with a 6-inch display bearing 2,160 x 1,080 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The display has been layered with a 2.5D curved glass on top for aesthetics and comfort. Driving the performance of the handset, is the MediaTek MT8735A processor, which has been mated to 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The onboard storage of the handset can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. There are also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and facial recognition for security.
Moving on to the camera department, the Alcatel 3V comes with a 16MP primary camera on the rear panel accompanied by 5MP depth sensor and LED flash. As for selfies and video calling, the smartphone offers an 8MP camera accompanied by a dedicated LED flash. The brand has equipped the camera on Alcatel 3V with features like EIS, PDAF, bokeh mode, face beauty, and instant collage, among others. Out of the box, the smartphone runs Android 8.0 Oreo and is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.
The smartphone has been priced at Rs 9,999 in India and is Flipkart-exclusive in the country. As part of the launch offer, Jio users will get cashback worth Rs 2,200 on the purchase of the Alcatel 3V.
