Alcatel’s first phone in its India comeback will be the Alcatel V3 Ultra. Madhav Sheth, who is leading the phone’s India launch, has revealed its name and design via a post on X.com. The phone’s box highlights Alcatel’s French origin and that it is now available in India. Incidentally, a previous report reveals that Alcatel phones are being made in India. The post also confirms the stylus support. Take a look:
Alcatel V3 Ultra first look
- Madhav Sheth says in his X post that he can’t disclose all the details, but is excited to share the first look at the black box variant of the device.
I can’t share all the details yet, but I’m excited to say I chose the black box. It truly outshines the other options in elegance and class.

- He claims the phone exudes elegance and class, though we have yet to see it for ourselves.
- Gladly, the box shows a sketch of the design. We can see a round camera island aligned to the left side. There are three lenses and a flashlight module in it. On the front, the phone will have a central punch hole.
- Next to the phone’s sketch, there’s a visible silhouette of a stylus, a feature already confirmed. According to an X post by Alcatel India, the stylus will let users sketch, sign, scribble, and highlight. We aren’t sure if the stylus will be bundled in the box or not.
- The Alcatel V3 Ultra looks like a TCL 50 Pro NxtPaper, which was launched in September 2024.
- The side buttons also appear similar to the TCL phone. It seems to have a volume rocker, a power button and a new button that may function like the NxtPaper Key. For the unversed, the TCL 50 Pro NxtPaper’s NxtPaper Key is a two-stage slider, sliding which turns the display into a monochrome Ink Mode. The icons appear in wireframe style, and notifications are muted in this mode. This is also said to extend battery life.
- Alcatel India is yet to confirm any of these speculations, but its recent posts offer more confidence. In one of its recent X posts, the company reveals the phone will have “a brand-new display tech that’s easy on the eyes and big on impact“.
- An X post also discloses that the smart screen will support multiple use-case-based display modes like Read, Watch, Scroll and Create.
Should you wait for the Alcatel V3 Ultra?
The standout feature of the Alcatel V3 Ultra will likely be its display, as indicated by the “NXT-gen screen” branding in Alcatel’s social posts. Also, based on the teaser image which reveals the design of the phone, it’s speculated to be a rebrand of the TCL 50 Pro NxtPapers. Based on this speculation, here are the features you can expect from the Alcatel V3 Ultra:
- Max Ink Mode: This mode turns the software into an e-book-like interface, suitable for reading stuff such as articles and e-books on the phone for long durations.
- Anti-glare: The display sports an anti-glare coating for minimising reflections from sunlight or indoor lighting.
- MediaTek Dimensity 6300: The TCL smartphone comes with Dimensity 6300. This is a budget to midrange-oriented chipset, so you can expect sufficient performance for light to medium tasks on the Alcatel V3 Ultra.
- Stylus support: The image of Alcatel V3 Ultra’s phone box, posted by Madhav Sheth, shows a stylus. So if you wish to use a stylus on your next phone, this device has got you covered.
We’ll keep you posted about other Alcatel V3 Ultra news. So stay tuned for that!
