Alleged OPPO A5 (2025) key specifications revealed via TENAA, photos leaked

OPPO might be planning on releasing another mid-range device under the A5 moniker. It already launched the OPPO A5 Pro in China last month. Now, the alleged OPPO A5 has been spotted on China’s TENAA certification platform under the model number PKQ110. A tipster has also revealed photos of the device. Read along to know more details about the upcoming OPPO A5 device.

Most of the specifications of the alleged OPPO A5 have been revealed via the TENAA website. Apart from the specifications, tipster Experience More has revealed hands on photos of the alleged OPPO A5. The device features a textured back with a squircle camera housing featuring three cutouts for cameras and one for flash. The display has slim bezels with a punch hole camera at the top.

Listed below are the OPPO A5 specifications based on the TENAA listing.  

• Dimensions: The device measures 161.57mm tall, 74.47mm wide and 7.65mm in thickness. It should weigh around 185 grams.  
• Display: The OPPO A5 will feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ (2412×1080) resolution AMOLED display. 
• Processor: While the processor powering the device is still under wraps, the TENAA listing reveals it is a 2.2GHz processor which could be the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. Since its elder sibling is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 7300, we can expect the OPPO A5 to feature a slightly less powerful processor.  
• Software: The device is expected to run on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15. 
• Storage: The listing reveals that the device will come in 8GB and 12GB RAM options and, it will feature 256GB and 512GB storage options. Based on this information, the device could comes in two, three or even four storage variants.  
• Camera: At the rear, the OPPO A5 will feature a 50MP primary camera paired with a 2MP depth, macro, or some other sensor. At the front, the device will house an 8MP camera for selfies and video calling.     
• Battery and Charging: The OPPO A5 will house a humongous 6,500mAh battery since the rated value listed on the site is 6,330mAh. It is also expected to support 45W fast wired charging. 

OPPO is using the A5 moniker for the third time now. The company launched the OPPO A5 in 2018 and 2020. Both of these phones were budget offerings with decent specifications for their price which was under Rs 15,000. The brand also launched the OPPO A5 Pro in China last month but there is no official information about its India launch. Therefore, we can’t be sure if the OPPO A5 2024 will launch in India.
