Rumours surrounding the launch of the POCO F5 5G smartphone have been popping up on the internet for quite some time now. A little while ago, the device was spotted on the IMEI database, which suggested an imminent launch. Post that, reports suggesting a potential Redmi K60 – POCO F5 5G rebrand started making rounds on the internet. Now, the device has been spotted on another certification website, which suggests that the global launch of the POCO F5 5G might not be too far from now. Let’s take a look.
POCO F5 5G visits IMDA
Spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), the alleged POCO F5 5G (with the model number POCO 23013PC75G) has recently been certified by the Singapore IMDA certification authority. For those unaware, the Redmi K60 model number falls in line with the one spotted on the IMDA certification, save for the fact that the letter G has been replaced with C (G represents the global variant, while C denotes the Chinese variant) and the letters PC (POCO) have been replaced with RK (Redmi K-series).
Though the IMDA listing does not reveal much about the device, it does confirm that the POCO F5 5G will come with support for NFC and, of course, it more or less confirms that the global launch of the device is nearing.

If the POCO F5 5G is indeed a rebranded Redmi K60, we can expect the device to feature a 6.67-inch QHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,400 nits brightness, HDR10+ support, and 1,920Hz PWM dimming. Under the hood, the device will likely come powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor or a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB storage.
In terms of cameras, we can expect the POCO F5 5G to make room for a 64MP + 8MP + 2MP triple rear camera setup and a 16MP front camera. Lastly, the device will likely feature a 5,500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging and 30W wireless fast charging.
