Amazfit has introduced the BIP 6 smartwatch in India today, May 16th, as the newest addition to its affordable BIP series. It is the successor to the Amazfit BIP 5 that debuted way back in 2023. It brings notable upgrades, including a super-bright 2,000-nit AMOLED display, built-in GPS with offline maps, and one-tap health tracking.   • Display: The Amazfit BIP 6 offers a 1.97-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 390 x 450 pixels and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits
  • Design: It has a square dial with two physical buttons on the right side. The device is water-resistant up to 50 meters. 
  • Health tracking: The smartwatch is equipped with a 24-hour heart rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, sleep, and stress tracking. It also offers sedentary reminders.

  • Fitness: The wearable device packs support for over 140 activity modes. It also comes with smart strength training with auto-detection of 25 exercise types. There is personalised AI-driven workout plans with Zepp Coach. 
  •  Battery: The Amazfit BIP 6 is backed by a 340mAh cell that is claimed to offer 14 days of usage under typical use and up to six days with heavy usage. 
  • Software: The smartwatch ships with Zepp OS 2.0 and comes with features like calendar reminder, app notifications, music and camera control, and more. 
  • Other features: The wearable device features a built-in GPS and offline map downloads. It also has a built-in speaker and microphone for hands-free voice calling. 

Amazfit BIP 6: what’s new

Compared to the Amazfit BIP 5, the newest model comes with a slightly larger screen at 1.97 inches. It also replaces the LCD panel with an AMOLED screen with a higher peak brightness. The device can measure four health metrics with just a single tap. Lastly, the BIP 6 has a bigger battery that lasts a few more days compared to its predecessor.
