Samsung One UI 6 based on Android 14 has been in the beta testing phase for quite some time. However, that might change soon as the stable version might be out by next week, as mentioned by a Samsung Members community moderator. He further added that this could be the last week for the One UI 6 beta program and there will be no more beta releases if there are no more issues to fix.
Samsung One UI 6 release timeline
- Samsung is reportedly conducting a final inspection of all One UI 6 beta versions and will release a new beta firmware only if there are more issues to fix before the rollout on the stable channel.
- The Samsung Members moderator said that currently there is no proper schedule for the One UI 6 stable version’s release but the beta program will end this week.
- The stable version is expected to roll out around next week with the October 2023 Android Security Patch.
One UI 6: new features
One UI 6 will bring a bunch of new features, including a quick panel which now features more options and makes them more accessible.
There is also a new Music Widget with better visual animations and Samsung has updated the Weather app widget which now shows future forecasts more clearly.
Samsung has added a new One UI Sans font and this will be used system-wide starting with One UI 6. The font is apparently fresher and also more readable.
As per Samsung, the new emojis look more “fun” compared to the classic ones. There are other personalisation options for the lock screen. The One UI 6 will be rolled out to Samsung Galaxy S-series flagships, A-series models, M-series lineup and more.
