Just a few days back, HTC started rolling out Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update globally for HTC One flagship but users in the United Kingdom haven’t yet seen it on their devices. Now HTC UK has addressed this issue on its UK Twitter account by saying that HTC expects to “release Jelly Bean 4.3 update in the UK in 3-5 weeks”.
However, company didn’t mention any word on why the update was delayed for this specific region but logically it points to the specific optimization in the OS for the UK carriers. By giving the time period of 3-5 weeks, HTC has pointed out the update will roll out in the UK by the end of November 2013 and we can expect it to reach to the devices in some other European countries at the same time. In related news, the same update for the users of the phone in US under T-Mobile carrier is live now. HTC America President Jason Mackenzie confirmed the update on his Twitter account. It is available over-the-air and users of the device will receive an automatic notification to download the update.
The firmware version of the new OS is 3.24.531.3 and the update is about 560MB in size, so HTC recommends you to download it using a high-speed WiFi or 4G connection. It is mainly bringing some performance enhancements as well as Sense 5.0 UI to the T-Mobile HTC One phones.
