“Both the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro have beaten the Redmi K20 Pro in AnTuTu rankings for June 2019”
AnTuTu is one of the best-known benchmarks for testing smartphone CPUs and GPUs. Since hundreds of phones go through its scanner each month, the benchmarks periodically release a list of the top 10 fastest phones each month on its website. The AnTuTu rankings for June 2019 are out, with the popular OnePlus 7 and Redmi K20 Pro finding a place for themselves in the list. However, the Redmi K20 Pro AnTuTu score on the official list is quite low compared to the company’s claimed score of 388,803. In fact, the smartphone ranks towards the lower end of the list, below OnePlus 7. The top rank is still held by nubia Red Magic 3, which has improved the score of 382,331, up from 380,921 in the May 2019 rankings.
The nubia Red Magic 3 managed to outpace strong competition such as the Black Shark 2 which scored a convincing 375,592 and was closely followed by the Mi 9 Explorer Edition with a rating of 371,021 which topped the charts in April with the Mi 9 being its neighbour. Xiaomi’s phones impressively captured top three spots in April and the solid performance continues in June with two devices still in the upper half of the table. The top five list was rounded by the OnePlus 7 Pro.
Ironically, the Redmi K20 Pro which was recently teased in India as the world’s fastest phone (as per AnTuTu scores) was on the 8th spot, below the OnePlus 7 Pro with a score of 3,67,003. While it’s India counterpart which will launch soon reached a level of 388,803 points.
The other phones in the list are the Meizu 16s, OnePlus 7, Galaxy S10+, and Galaxy S10. It’s also worth noting that higher scores in AnTuTu don’t always convert to superior performance. This is even more so the case when talking about flagship phones which are listed here in the top ten. The phones missing from the May 2019 list are ZTE Axon 10 Pro and Lenovo Z6 Pro.
