Respawn has dropped a new trailer for the next season of Apex Legends Mobile, titled Distortion. This season will introduce a new mobile-only Legend called Rhapsody who comes with a robot sidekick named Rowdy, alongside a new map. It’s great to see another mobile-exclusive Legend so soon, after Apex Legends Mobile launched with the mobile-only character Fade. Respawn hasn’t revealed Rhapsody’s abilities yet, but the trailer offers a glimpse at what you can expect from the new Legend.
Apex Legends Mobile’s new character Rhapsody is a DJ who fights alongside her sidekick Rowdy. Rhapsody comes from Pythas, a city ruled a tech conglomerate. She makes her way to the nightlife district of her city to play music. However, when her engineer mom is caught with sensitive company secrets, Rhapsody is sent to Apex Games to pay off the family debt. Although her abilities aren’t officially revealed yet, it seems like Rhapsody can spawn a giant shield that can block enemy bullets and vision as well as distort sound around her. Her robot companion, Rowdy, can seemingly do a sound-powered finisher. It remains to be seen what kind of perks Rhapsody gets and how they will assist her in combat.
Along with Rhapsody, Apex Legends Mobile gets a mobile-only map called Pythas Block 0. The cyberpunk-themed map is great to welcome the new Legend and it seems to be full of points of interest and obstacles that will lead to exciting gunfights. Pythas Block 0 will be available in Apex Legends Mobile when the new season, Distortion, launches on July 15th. The game will also get a new season pass, Legend skins, outfits, emotes, trackers, events, and more in the upcoming season.
