Respawn has shared details about Apex Legends Mobile season 2 via official patch notes for the game. The upcoming season is called Cold Snap, which will bring themed cosmetics and new elements to the game. Respawn is also giving away additional rewards for players who purchase the season 1 battle pass. The developer has also said that the Apex Legends Mobile team is working on four major issues including the issues with Ranked system, how bans are handled, matchmaking problems, and improving performance on various devices and servers. Besides these, Apex Legends Mobile season 2 will bring Loba and a limited-time mode from the PC and console versions of Apex Legends Mobile.
Apex Legends Mobile will introduce the previously-leaked Loba as a new character. Loba plays as a support character with abilities that help her find high-tier loot. Eye for Quality, Loba’s passive ability, allows her to see epic and legendary tier loot through walls. While her tactical ability, Burglar’s Best Friend, lets her teleport around the map with her Jump Drive bracelet. Black Market Boutique, Loba’s Ultimate ability, places a portable device that brings nearby loot, which can be picked by allies or enemies. Loba will also have access to special perks, thanks to Apex Legends Mobile’s exclusive perk system. Respawn has shared details about some of the perks including the ability to gain extra loot from crates and steal her allies’ banners. Remaining perks will be revealed when Apex Legends Mobile season 2 goes live on June 14 at 5:30 AM IST.
Apex Legends Mobile season 2 will introduce Armed and Dangerous: Shotguns and Snipers only limited-time mode, which is a really fun game mode where players can only use shotguns and snipers to defeat their enemies. Along with these, Cold Snap will bring the climatizer Town Takeover, which will turn the climatizer off and on during a match to cover various parts of World’s Edge in snow.
When the climatizer is turned on, Frosted Loot Boxes can be found on the map, which will reward players with diamonds that can be used to purchase items in the Cold Snap Seasonal Shop.
Besides these, players will also come across Snow Grenades that damages and slows down enemies on impact. Finally, players who had purchased the season 1 premium or premium plus battle pass will be rewarded with 50 Syndicate Gold and 1 Syndicate Pack after season 2 launches. Players who complete all tiers of season 1 premium or premium plus battle pass will get 800 Syndicate Gold.
