It’s Glowtime in some hours, and we have some last-minute Apple event rumours, including the iPhone 16 Pro price, storage, and battery life claims. We are learning that there could be a new Apple Watch Ultra 2 variant with the Apple Watch Series 10 and a new AirPods Max model. Let’s run through all these rumours.
Last-minute iPhone 16 series rumours
Mark Gurman from Bloomberg drops some eleventh-hour rumours or revelations about the iPhone 16 series:
- All iPhone 16 variants are expected to sport the rumoured capacitive Capture button.
- The Pro iPhones will have slimmer bezels and better battery life. The iPhone 16 Pro series entry price will be $999 (around Rs 83,829.09).
- Gurman reiterates that we should be getting an A18 chip across the board. As per FT, Apple A18 is said to be based on a newer Arm V9 architecture. This should enable the iPhones to be faster.
- A big highlight would be AI (Apple Intelligence). We suppose the glow in “It’s Glowtime” refers to AI-upgraded Siri’s glowing UI.
As per Trendforce, the iPhone 16 Pro base model could have double storage than the iPhone 15 Pro. So, it could get 256GB.
The iPhone 16 series pre-orders could start on September 12th. Since the Apple Mall of Scandinavia is scheduled to open on September 20th, the new iPhones could also come out on the same day.
Last-minute Apple Watch rumours
- Gurman says the Apple Watch Series 10 will be the major Apple Watch showcase this year. It could bring features like larger screens (possibly because of slimmer bezels) and sleep apnea detection support.
- Apple isn’t expected to bring blood pressure detection though.
- Something else Apple is not expected to launch is the Apple Watch Ultra 3. Rather, Gurman claims an Apple Watch Ultra 2 Black Titanium edition is incoming.
- The Apple Watch SE could get delayed.
- Gurman has also reposted a rumour that the Apple Watch Series 10 could get a Jacquemus edition instead of a Hermès edition.

Last-minute Apple AirPods rumours
According to Gurman, the AirPods Max could be refreshed with improved active noise cancellation, new adaptive audio features, and a USB-C port. Although no significant design changes are expected, we could get new colour options.
