At this year’s WWDC event in June, Apple introduced its most powerful iMac machine till date, the iMac Pro. Now, the company has announced that the iMac Pro’s pre-orders will initially start in the US on December 14th i.e. tomorrow. The new iMac is also the Cupertino giant’s most expensive model in this segment with a starting price of $4,999 (~Rs 3,22,150). The company hasn’t yet revealed when the brand will start taking pre-orders for the new iMac in the Indian market.

The AIO can be configured with either 32GB, 64GB or 128GB of DDR4 ECC memory. The base model comes with a 1TB SSD, which is configurable to 2TB or 4TB.
As for the other features, the Apple iMac Pro flaunts a 27-inch Retina 5K display with support for up to a billion colours. It has four Thunderbolt 3 ports with support for 5K displays or 4K UHD external displays at the same time. The device also features four USB 3.0 ports and an SDXC card slot with support for UHS-II cards, and VGA, HDMI and native DisplayPort output over USB-C. It gets 10GB Ethernet for up to 10-times faster networking. There’s also a 1080p FaceTime HD camera for video calling.
Apple has only revealed the pricing of the base model of the iMac Pro. Also, the 18-core version of the PC isn’t expected to be available before next year.
