Apple iPhone 13 series is expected to launch around mid-September and is slated to bring moderate upgrades to the current iPhone 12 lineup. Now, ahead of launch, the Chinese e-commerce website, ITHome, the upcoming iPhones will be up for pre-orders on September 17th. FrontPageTech, citing their sources, claims the date is indeed accurate. Additionally, the report mentions the phones will be on sale from September 24th. While there’s a mention of AirPods 3 launching around the same time, the date is still not confirmed. The iPhone 13 lineup is expected to include the standard iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
The e-commerce site has listed all the four iPhone 13 models and was originally published by the @PandaIsBald Weibo account. This shows the pre-orders will begin on September 17th in China and probably all other major markets including the US. However, it isn’t clear what is the source behind the listing as it doesn’t offer any other information to support the said date. There were incidents in the past where screenshots posted by ITHome turned out to be incorrect. While we aren’t concluding the listing is fake, there are chances it’s just a premature listing in anticipation of the launch.
Since FrontPageTech citing its sources say the date could be accurate, we might actually be looking at a legit iPhone 13 launch timeline. Going by Apple’s usual launch schedule, we can expect the media invites to be out on September 7th, with the unveiling event taking place on September 14th. The phones could be up for pre-orders on September 17th and the sale begins on September 24th. We should know more about the upcoming iPhones in the next couple of weeks, considering Apple indeed proceeds in the said manner.
