“The renders reveal a larger power button that could hide a fingerprint sensor beneath”
Earlier this month, a live video of a very realistic-looking iPhone 8 prototype hit the interwebs. Now, Forbes has acquired a CAD design of the iPhone 8 from case designer Nodus and created some 3D renders based on them. The renders reveal a larger power button on the right side, which the source suggests, could hide a fingerprint sensor beneath.
In line with the earlier leaks, the new renders reveal that the iPhone 8 will feature a metal unibody design with an almost bezel-free display and a high screen-to-body resolution. The phone will get a dual camera setup at the rear with a dual-LED flash sandwiched between them. The phone’s volume rocker will be placed on the left side alongside the ringer button. The source further suggests that the iPhone 8 could sport a 5.8-inch display. The phone will get a Lightning port, which contradicts the earlier report.
The Apple iPhone 8 will mark the 10th anniversary of the iPhone. The phone is rumoured not to come with wireless charging on launch day, with the feature expected to be enabled via software updates later. The device is expected to go official at Apple’s event in September.
