“The Apple iPhone SE2 is expected to come with a display size between 4.7-inch and 5-inch”
Apple launched the iPhone SE (review) back in 2016, with the intention to bring flagship iPhone features in a compact form factor and at a more affordable price point. While the brand has not officially shared any information regarding the launch of the handset’s successor, several leaks and speculations surrounding the iPhone SE 2 have popped up in recent past. Just sometime back, we saw a concept design of the handset, which seemed to be inspired by the iPhone X (review), with glass body and display notch. Now, we have the leaked CAD renders and 360-degree videos of the alleged iPhone SE2, thanks to OnLeaks and Tigermobiles.
In the leaked 3D renders of the upcoming smartphone, the Apple iPhone SE2 does not flaunt a radical design, as was seen in the previous concept images. The smartphone seen in the new leaks can be seen sporting the same design as the iPhone SE with an all-metal build in a compact form factor. In the new leaks, the display notch seems to be present and the screen is expected to be between 4.7-inch and 5-inch in size. However, the phone seems to be missing the Touch ID, which indicates that it might come with Apple’s advanced Face ID security. However, we must point out that the notch on the display seems to be significantly smaller than the one on iPhone X. We will have to wait and see if the company manages to fit the same array of sensors in a smaller real estate with the alleged iPhone SE 2. Further, the handset features volume buttons on the left, the power button on top, SIM slot on the right, and the Lightning connector with loudspeaker grille at the bottom edge. As you might have noticed, unfortunately, the audio jack is missing from the smartphone. The smartphone will reportedly measure 123.8mm x 58.6mm x 7.6 mm, which is the same as iPhone SE.
As for the core specs, the Apple iPhone SE2 is expected to be powered by a quad-core A10 processor, backed by 2GB of RAM. It is expected to run the latest iOS operating system and is tipped to come in 32GB and 128GB storage variants. Further, the smartphone is expected to be fuelled by a 1,700mAh battery. However, nothing else is known about the upcoming smartphone at this point. It is advisable to take these leaked renders with a grain of salt as the company has not shared any details officially.
As for the launch timeline and pricing of the handset, nothing is known at the moment. We will bring you more updates in this regard as and when they appear, so stay tuned.
