Taiwanese electronics manufacturer ASUS has announced the launch of three new laptops in India. While two of the three laptops feature OLED displays, the third is offered as an option for laptop buyers who want a large display within a mid-range budget. The pick of the pack is the ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED, which the company has claimed is its thinnest and lightest laptop of 2022. The other two laptops belong to the company’s mainstream Vivobook series, and are the Vivobook Pro 14 OLED and the Vivobook 16X.

ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED and others: price in India, where to buy

The ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED will be available online on the company’s own e-store, Amazon and Flipkart. Offline, the laptop can be purchased from ASUS branded retailers, and third-party, multi-brand stores such as Croma, Vijay Sales and Reliance Digital. The other two laptops, the Vivobook Pro 14 OLED and the Vivobook 16X, will also be available across all the above mentioned platforms, except for Flipkart.

In terms of pricing, the Zenbook S 13 OLED price in India is Rs 99,990. The Vivobook Pro 14 OLED costs upward of Rs 59,990, while the Vivobook 16X costs Rs 54,990.

Zenbook S 13 OLED specifications

The ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED has a magnesium-aluminium alloy body, and is seemingly the company’s thinnest and lightest laptop – measuring 14.9mm in thickness and weighing 1.1kg. It features a 180-degree hinge, and claims United States military-grade durability.

In terms of specs, it features AMD Ryzen 6000U series processors, along with AMD RDNA 2 generation graphics. It also comes with up to 16GB LPDDR5 memory, and up to 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD for storage. It gets a 2.8K resolution, 13.3-inch OLED display with 16:10 aspect ratio, Dolby Vision HDR, and 0.2ms response time. The trackpad also gets ASUS’ virtual number pad integrated into it.

It also features Dolby Atmos-certified Harman Kardon stereo speakers, three USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and Wi-Fi 6E for connectivity as well. The laptop has four colour variants – Ponder Blue, Refined White, Aqua Celadon and Vestige Beige. It is powered by a 67Whr battery, which also has 65W fast charging support.

Vivobook Pro 14 OLED specifications

The ASUS Vivobook Pro 14, meanwhile, has an 18.9mm thick body, and weighs 1.4kg. Performance wise, it comes with up to AMD Ryzen 7 5800H CPUs, but does not get a discrete GPU in any variant. It also gets up to 16GB DDR4 memory, and 512GB PCIe Gen3 SSDs for storage. Capping all of this is a 14-inch, 2.8K resolution display with 90Hz refresh rate and 16:10 aspect ratio – with Dolby Vision and Pantone Validated certification.

However, the Vivobook Pro 14 does not get USB-C ports – instead using three USB-A ports (with only one of them being USB 3.2 Gen2). Other connectivity chops include an HDMI port, a microSD reader and a 3.5mm audio jack, as well as Wi-Fi 6. It also gets a fingerprint sensor, and the entire setup is powered by a 90W fast charging battery.

Vivobook 16X specifications

The ASUS Vivobook 16X weighs 1.8kg and measures 19.9mm in thickness. It gets a full-size keyboard with a physical number pad, and a 180-degree hinge as well. ASUS claims a screen to body ratio of 86 percent for this laptop.

The Vivobook 16X gets the same performance internals as the Vivobook Pro 14, but features a 16-inch, 1920 x 1200-pixel display with 16:10 aspect ratio. All connectivity and battery particulars also remain the same as the Vivobook Pro 14, as mentioned above.
