“The ASUS ZenFone 3 series will sport USB Type-C ports, fingerprint sensors and a premium metal design”
The ASUS ZenFone 3 series smartphones were recently spotted on benchmarking websites. Now some alleged press renders and details of the ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Deluxe have hit the interwebs. Both the smartphones have been leaked by the Red Dot 21 website, which is a product design showcase website run by the people behind the Red Dot design awards.
According to the source, the ASUS ZenFone 3 will sport 2.5D glass on both the front and back panels with a curved aluminium frame. The phone will sport a USB Type-C port and a fingerprint sensor, which was also confirmed by the company’s CEO in October last year. The device will get a rectangular camera module complete with laser autofocus and a dual-tone LED flash. It will be available in gold, white and black colour choices.
As for the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, the source suggests that the phone will flaunt a metal design, just like the ZenFone 3. It will sport a physical home button at the front along with two capacitive buttons. The home button could pack in a fingerprint sensor. The power button of the handset is located on the ride side.
The source didn’t reveal any other specifications of the ZenFone 3 or its Deluxe variant. According to the reports, the company will be unveiling the new ZenFone series smartphones at Computex this year.
