ASUS has launched the ZenFone 3 Max in India today. It is a mid-range offering that comes in two size variants – 5.2-inch and 5.5-inch. The phone sports a premium metal unibody design with diamond cut chamfered edges, and a fingerprint sensor, which is located at the back below the main camera. The phone comes with 32GB of internal memory, which can be further increased up to 32GB by inserting a microSD card. The camera department includes a 13-meg rear snapper with an LED flash, and a 5-meg selfie shooter. The connectivity features include dual-SIM slots, 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and GPS. Software-wise, it boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ZenUI 3.0 on top.
Talking about the higher-specced ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL) (review) variant, this one sports a 5.5-inch full HD display. It is fuelled by an octa-core Snapdragon 430 SoC (quad-core 1.4GHz + quad-core 1.1GHz) SoC, mated to 3GB of RAM. The phone features a 16-meg primary snapper with f/2.0 aperture, laser autofocus, continuous autofocus, phase detection autofocus, three-axis Electronic Image Stabilisation, and a dual-tone LED flash. For selfies, it gets an 8-meg front-facing shooter. Its connectivity, storage, and software features are the same as the ZenFone 3 Max ZC520TL model.
Coming to the pricing, the ASUS ZenFone 3 Max with 5.2-inch display will set you back by Rs 12,999, while the beefed up 5.5-inch model will be available for Rs 17,999.
