ASUS ZenFone 5Z price in India has been permanently reduced by Rs 3,000. The phone’s base variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is now retailing for Rs 24,999, down from the earlier price of Rs 27,999. The ZenFone 5Z’s higher-end model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is now being offered for Rs 28,999, as compared to Rs 31,999. The ZenFone 5Z earlier received a price cut in March as well. The smartphone is now available at the reduced pricing on Flipkart. Notably, the handset was originally launched last year at Rs 32,999 for the base 6GB RAM model, while it’s 8GB variant was priced at Rs 36,999.

The ASUS ZenFone 5Z is the brand’s last year’s flagship offering. The phone features a 6.2-inch full HD+ Super IPS+ display with Gorilla Glass protection. Powering the handset is the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor, aided by Adreno 630 GPU. The software side of the things are taken care by Android 9 Pie with ZenUI 5 on top. For security, the smartphone has been fitted with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature.
In the imaging department, the ASUS ZenFone 5Z sports a 12MP primary Sony IMX363 dual-pixel image sensor at the rear with f/1.8 aperture, 4-axis optical image stabilisation, and AI scene detection. There’s also an 8MP secondary snapper onboard with f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, the handset has been fitted with an 8MP snapper that has an aperture of f/2.0. In terms of connectivity, the ZenFone 5Z offers dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and A-GPS with GLONASS.
The ASUS ZenFone 5Z is fuelled by a 3,300mAh battery that supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. The smartphone also comes with dual 5-magnet speakers with dual NXP Smart App to provide distortion-less sound. There’s also DTS Headphone:X 7.1 virtual surround sound for headphones.
