ASUS Zenfone 9 is the next compact flagship smartphone from ASUS. While the phone is smaller than last year’s ASUS Zenfone 8, it packs big things than its predecessor. The Zenfone 9’s back panel is plastic built, and the frame is aluminium. At the front, we get a Gorilla Glass Victus shield display with a left-aligned punch-hole for a selfie shooter. ASUS will ship the Zenfone 9 to Taiwan, Hong Kong, and parts of Europe first and then sell(via) it to the rest of the world. Interested buyers can grab the Zenfone 9 in four colours: Midnight Black, Starry Blue, Sunset Red and Moonlight White, and three storage options: 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, 16GB/256GB.

Specifications

ASUS Zenfone 9 is a tiny phone with mighty specifications. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the ASUS Zenfone 9 ships up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. Like its predecessor, it does not support memory expansion via a microSD card. Keeping the lights on is a 4,300mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.

The ASUS Zenfone 9 flaunts a 5.9-inch Full-HD+ OLED panel that supports HDR10+, a 120Hz refresh rate with a 240Hz touch sampling rate, 1200 nits peak and 800 nits brightness. For durability, the display on the ASUS Zenfone 9 features a Gorilla Glass Victus shield. It will boot Android 12-based ZenUI out of the box and receive two Android updates and two years of security patches.
