“The Go is the first ASUS ZenFone to be powered by a MediaTek processor”
ASUS today hosted its ZenFestival global launch event in India. The brand has launched several new devices at the event, along with showcasing the budget ZenFone Go smartphone. The Go is the very first ZenFone to be powered by a MediaTek processor. The phone runs Android Lollipop out of the box with ZenUI on top.
As far as the other specs are concerned, the ASUS ZenFone Go sports a 5-inch HD IPS display. The device utilises a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor, supported by 2GB of RAM and a Mali-450 MP2 GPU. For storage, the device gets 8GB/16GB of internal memory, expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card.
For imaging, the ZenFone Go offers an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with a dual-LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front shooter for selfies and video calls. The phone offers dual-SIM slots, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and A-GPS connectivity options, but lacks 4G LTE support. A 2,070mAh battery completes the list of specifications.
Similar to the previous ZenFones, the ASUS ZenFone Go also comes in different hues including Pure Black, Ceramic White Glamour Red. The ZenFone Go is expected to land in India at a starting price of Rs 9,999, but don’t hold us to that. There’s no confirmation on its exact availability as well.
