ASUS ZenFone Max M2 (review) that was launched last week, alongside the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2, is set to go on sale for the first time in India today. The first ZenFone Max M2 sale has been scheduled for 12pm today and will be hosted exclusive on e-commerce platform Flipkart. The ZenFone Max M2 smartphone comes with a large display having a wide notch, Snapdragon 632 SoC, 4,000mAh battery, and dual rear cameras.

The ASUS ZenFone Max M2 price in India is Rs 9,999 for the variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage onboard is priced just a little higher at Rs 11,999. The smartphone will come with 100GB of complimentary Google Drive storage, no-cost EMIs, and Rs 750 discount on purchases made using HDFC Bank credit and debit cards.

The new ASUS ZenFone Max M2 sports a 6.26-inch HD+ (720 x 1,440 pixels) IPS display with a notch on top. It packs a the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor and comes in 3GB RAM and 32GB storage as well as 4GB RAM and 64GB storage options. The handset supports microSD cards of up to 2TB capacity for storage expansion.

For the photography, the ZenFone Max M2 features a dual rear setup with 13-megapixel+ 2-megapixel sensors, with f/1.8 aperture, 1.12-micron pixel size, 5P lens, and single LED flash. In the front is an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron pixel size, EIS, portrait mode, and selfie flash. It derives its power from a 4,000mAh battery and runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo. However, the company has also confirmed that the device would get the Android Pie update in January 2019.
