As per a screenshot of a conversation between an ASUS customer care representative and a ZenFone Max Pro M1 users, posted on SlashLeaks, the Android Pie software for the smartphone would be released by the end of February. It is also stated by the customer support representative that the update is still going through testing. This means ZenFone Max Pro M1 buyers will have to contend with the old version of Android for another couple of months.

Previously, ASUS India had confirmed that the Zenfone Max Pro – along with its sibling Zenfone 5Z – would receive the Android Pie update.
