ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 receives a price cut in India; now starts at Rs 9,999

The Taiwanese brand ASUS ended the year 2018 on a high note with the launch of the ZenFone Max Pro M2 (review) and Max M2 (review). Interestingly however, the company didn’t discontinue the predecessor models of these new phones. And now, the manufacturer is slashing the prices of its most popular smartphone of the year gone by – the ZenFone Max Pro M1 (review). It’s worth mentioning that all the variants of the handset have received a price cut of Rs 1,000.

The base model of the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage will now cost Rs 9,999, while the 4GB + 64GB model will set you back by Rs 11,999. The high-end variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB memory will now carry a price tag of Rs 13,999, making it one of the most affordable smartphones with 6 gigs of RAM in India.

To recap on the specs of the ZenFone Max Pro M1, the device ships with a 5.99-inch full HD+ panel. Powering the show is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 chipset, which is paired with 3GB / 4GB / 6GB RAM. In the imaging department, the 3GB and 4GB RAM variants flaunt a 13-megapixel snapper along with a 5MP depth sensor on the back and a 8-megapixel shooter up front. The top-end version with 6 gigs of RAM features a higher-res 16MP primary shooter on the rear (accompanied by the same 5MP secondary sensor) and a 16MP selfie camera. The Max Pro M1 boots Android 8.1 Oreo, but has started getting the Android 9.0 Pie update. A 5,000mAh battery fuels the entire package.
