“The ZenFone Max Pro M2 and Max M2 are seen bearing model numbers ZB631KL and ZB633KL, respectively”
When ASUS launched the Zenfone Max Pro M1 (review) in India, the brand took the first step towards offering impressive smartphones at disruptive pricing. With a massive 5,000mAh battery, stock Android and an impressive spec sheet, the smartphone was an instant hit with Indian consumers. Now, the brand seems to be working on the second generation – ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 as well ZenFone M2 as both these phones have been spotted on the website of Eurasian certification website.
The listing revealed the exact names of the handset as well several other details of the upcoming phones. The EEC website listed ZenFone M2 with a model number ZB633KL, while the ZenFone Max Pro M2 bears the model number ZB631KL. The listing also reveals that both smartphones will be running Android Oreo out of the box, presumably the Android 8.1 Oreo. But just like the ZenFone Max Pro M1, we can expect the next generation device to flaunt stock Android. However, apart from this, the Eurasian listing doesn’t reveal much about the upcoming smartphones.
As for other specs, it’s being speculated that the ZenFone Pro M2 and M2 will come with an updated processor as well as a notched display. Further, we can expect both smartphones to have a dual camera setup on the rear panel. Further, the battery on these handsets could remain the same as 5,000mAh or slightly bigger at 5,300mAh. However, unfortunately, none of these details about the upcoming smartphones is concrete at this point. Therefore we suggest taking this bit of information with a fistful of salt at this point.
Further, the exact availability or pricing details of the smartphones are also not known. We expect more details about the ZenFone Pro M2 and M2 to come out in coming days, so stay tuned.
