“The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 is expected to be a mid-range smartphone with stock Android software”
ASUS has teased the design of ZenFone Max Pro M2, which is slated to launch on December 11th in Indonesia. After featuring in numerous leaks and rumours, this is the first time we’re seeing the official render of the handset. The vendor has shared a teaser of the ZenFone Max Pro M2 via its official Twitter account that shows the phone could feature triple camera setup at the back. Other than that, the successor to the ZenFone Max Pro M1 (review) can also be seen with a notch-toting display.
Banyak yang hadir dengan label nama “Pro”, namun apa beneran Pro? Bagaimana ketahanan baterainya? Layarnya kuat? Lalu kameranya kece? Dan bagaimana performa prosesornya?

ASUS hasn’t revealed the hardware details of the ZenFone Max Pro M2, but claims the handset will be a ‘Real Pro’. It has called out the rivals for the display’s durability, battery, camera, and processing prowess. In the front, we can see a selfie camera and the other set of sensors housed in the notch on top. On the back, two vertically stacked camera sensors are clearly visible, but it is not clear whether the third curve is for yet another camera or the LED flash. Moving on, the appearance of the phone in the teaser resembles the low resolution render that was leaked a couple of days ago through Google Play Console listing.
Coming to the specifications, ZenFone Max Pro M2 is rumoured to sport a 6-inch tall IPS display with a resolution of full HD+ (2,280 x 1,080p). The handset will reportedly boot the vanilla Android 9 Pie, considering its predecessor was also a stock Android phone. As for the battery, the phone is tipped to feature an impressive 5,000mAh cell. Powering the ZenFone Max Pro M2 will reportedly be the Snapdragon 660 SoC, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. Camera-wise, the phone is expected to feature a 13-megapixel rear camera, while the configurations of the rear camera setup are not known at the moment.
The price and availability of the ZenFone Max Pro M2 also remain a mystery. However, it’ll all be clear when ASUS will take the wraps off the device in Indonesia next month. It should be noted that even if the handset does come with three cameras on the back in Indonesia, it is not necessary that the Indian variant has the same setup too. The phone will compete against the Redmi Note 6 Pro, which also features dual camera setup on both the front and the back.
