- Bajaj and Hero MotoCorp have announced price hikes on the Bajaj Chetak and Hero Vida V1 Pro electric scooters
- The Bajaj Chetak and Vida V1 Pro electric scooters are now dearer by Rs 22,000 and Rs 6,000 respectively
- The price hike comes after the Indian Government reduced FAME II incentives from 40 to 15 percent of the total EV cost
With the reduction of FAME II subsidy benefits from the Indian Government, EV makers like Ola Electric and Ather Energy in India have hiked prices. Following suit, Bajaj and Hero Vida have also announced price hikes on the Bajaj Chetak and Hero Vida V1 electric scooters. TVS has also announced an estimated price of Rs 17,00 to Rs 22,000 on its iQube line of electric scooters but is yet to announce final prices.
Bajaj Chetak and Hero Vida V1 prices up: Here’s how much they cost
Bajaj has upped the prices on its Bajaj Chetak premium electric scooter by Rs 22,000. The EV now wears a Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom) price tag. Hero MotoCorp on the other hand has increased prices on its Hero Vida V1 Pro electric scooter by Rs 6,000 and the scooter now carries a price tag of Rs 1.46 lakh (ex-showroom). The Vida V1 Pro can be had for Rs 1.26 lakh (ex-showroom) in cities with higher state-wise subsidies such as Delhi, Ahmedabad, Surat and Vadodara.
TVS will also announce its refreshed prices soon as the company’s Senior VP, Manu Saxena, had earlier commented. The current pricing on the TVS iQube ranges between Rs 1.06 lakh to Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi, after subsidy).
Hero Vida V1 specifications
