The Jaipur-based EV startup, Battre, has launched the Battre Storie premium electric scooter in India. The Storie electric two-wheeler has been aggressively priced and also offers many features from a segment higher. The Battre Storie will go up against the likes of other premium electric scooters in India such as the Ather 450X, Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube, and the Bajaj Chetak. The company also aims to bring in a non-conventional ‘pay and charge’ scheme that could open up more convenient financial options for buyers.

Battre Storie price in India, availability 

The Battre Storie India price is set at Rs 89,600 (ex-showroom) and gets a single variant as of now. The electric scooter will retail across the 400 dealerships in the coming weeks, according to the company. 

At the moment, the Battre Storie can be booked online on the company’s official website for a token amount of Rs 5,000. There has been no indication about the deliveries of the vehicle yet. 

Battre Storie specifications, features

The Battre Storie adopts a retro-modern styling with its classic scooter-like design and appeal. The scooter also incorporates new-age technologies such as LED lighting with follow-me-home lamps feature to sprinkle modernity. The body panels are made out of metal that the company claims to add to its durability.

Under the hood, you get a Lucas TVS sourced motor that has a peak power output of 2kW and is paired to a 3.1kWh battery pack. This combination, allows the scooter to travel 132km (ICAT certified) distance on a single charge. The Storie is extensively localised and boasts of being a ‘Made in India’ product. The scooter has also been tested for over 1 lakh kilometres and has been AIS 156 compliant.  

Other modernities include Bluetooth connectivity, call alerts and turn-by-turn navigation, Distance-to-Empty Display, Spotify Compatibility, etc all accessible through the TFT dashboard on the vehicle. The Storie also gets three riding modes – Eco, Comfort, and Sport. Additionally, reverse and parking modes are also present.
