Black Shark has launched the ‘Rookie Kit’ for its recently introduced Black Shark 2 (Review) smartphone in India. The Kit is already available in select markets across the world and has now made available in the country. It includes the Black Shark Gamepad 2.0 Holder and Gamepad left-side version that connects to the smartphone via Bluetooth. The controller is compatible with Black Shark first-generation smartphone as well. Interestingly, the gamepad is also compatible with the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro too. This also means that it can be connected to other smartphones.
The Rookie Kit is priced at Rs 3,500, of which the left-side Gamepad holder costs Rs 499 and the gamepad itself is Rs 2,999. Additionally, the company is also offering a flat Rs 5,000 discount on Black Shark 2 during the Flipkart National Shopping Days sale. The Shadow Black variant with 6GB + 128GB storage now costs Rs 34,999 instead of Rs 39,999, while the 12GB + 256GB Frozen Silver model will be available at Rs 44,999, down from Rs 49,999.
To recall, the Black Shark 2 sports a 6.39-inch AMOLED TrueView display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a 60Hz refresh rate; it supports display touch sampling rate of 240Hz for a smoother gaming experience. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor with Adreno 640 GPU. It packs up to 12GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB storage options. The Snapdragon Elite Gaming tech will act as an anti-cheating measure. A 4,000mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging support fuels the phone. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and A-GPS with GLONASS.
