“Black Shark 3 is expected to ship with Snapdragon 865 SoC, run on Android 10 with custom MIUI skin, and have 5G connectivity”
Black Shark 3 is rumoured be the upcoming gaming smartphone from the Chinese brand. It was recently certified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology with model number KLE-A0. This revealed the Black Shark 3 would include support for dual-mode 5G connectivity. Rumours suggest that it may launch sometime next-month. Now, a series of new leaks have revealed some key specifications of the handset, including a Quad HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The handset will also have an option to lower the display resolution from 2K to 1080p, and this should save some battery.
Separately, noted tipster Sudhanshu claims the Black Shark 3 could be the first phone to be equipped with 16GB RAM. The maximum amount of RAM on a smartphone so far has been 12GB, and some might say 16GB RAM will be overkill, even on a gaming smartphone. The Black Shark 3 is expected to ship with the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. Unfortunately, that’s all we know about the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 at the moment, but we expect to come across more information in the next few weeks. To recall, Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro was the last-gaming smartphone from the brand.
