German car audio equipment manufacturer Blaupunkt has ventured into the mobile accessories segment, with India as its debut market for the same. The company has launched a range of earphones, USB cables, and car chargers in the country. The vendor has announced that it plans to launch smartphones, smartwatches and tablets next.
To begin with, Blaupunkt has launched nine earphones in the country, which will be priced between Rs 299 and Rs 599. All of the brand’s earphones are compatible with smartphones, feature phones and tablets, and come with in-line mics. Some of them offer durable tangle-free cables, and in-line mic and remote controls. A couple of them feature flat cable designs.
Blaupunkt’s USB cables are available starting at Rs 249 and go up to 749, depending on the type. In this segment, the brand has launched micro to USB 2.0 cables, Apple certified Lightning to USB 2.0 cables, and USB Type-C to USB 2.0 cables for compatibility on different devices. Some of these cables sport nylon braiding for enhanced durability.
As for the car chargers, the company has launched three devices, which are priced between Rs 399 and Rs 599. They all come with dual USB output ports to let you charge two devices at the same time, and offer fast charging. Some of them are extra durable and offer safety features like window breakers and seat belt cutters.
Blaupunkt has partnered with New Delhi-based distributor Vidur & Co. to sell its mobile accessories across channels in the country. After India, the brand has plans to enter SAARC markets like Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
