Samsung is all set to expand its footprint in India’s mid-range with the launch of a new series, called Galaxy F, by the end of this month, 91mobiles has learnt from industry sources. As per our sources, the Galaxy F series smartphones will be priced between Rs 15,000 and Rs 20,000 and will be camera-centric. The first phone in the Galaxy F lineup will be launched next month and will be sold online. While the Galaxy F series will focus on the online market initially, Samsung may consider bringing it offline later, just like it did with the Galaxy M series.
Considering that Samsung already has Galaxy M series smartphones in this price segment, it would be interesting to see how the new series manages to distinguish itself from the Galaxy M series. Given that the Galaxy M series has already established a strong presence in the mid-range market in India, the launch of the new Galaxy F series can further strengthen the brand’s hold on the market, provided it does perform well. As we only know that the new series will be camera-centric, you can expect it to have improved camera performance compared with the Galaxy M offerings, which are no slouch by any means, in the same price bracket.
Apart from its own offerings, Samsung will also be competing with the likes of Realme, Xiaomi, and POCO in this price range, which have some impressive phones in their own right. For what its worth, the beneficiary out of the whole situation will most likely be the end consumer as you will now be spoiled for good choices in mid-range, which was surely not the case just a few years ago.
